Introducing our next Principal commencing Term 4 2024
We officially welcome Ms Safija Bristina as the next principal at Bowral High School. Ms Bristina is acknowledged for her commitment to public education – serving students, staff and communities across metropolitan, regional and rural schools in NSW over three decades.
Ms Bristina has been an experienced and substantive principal since 2016, and recently completed a secondment with the department’s directorate, Professional and Ethical Standards supporting employee performance. She is an active member of the NSW Secondary Principals Council and contributes to several reference groups including Aboriginal Education, Assessment and Reporting, Curriculum and NESA, High Potential and Gifted Education, Inclusion and Wellbeing, Professional Learning and Rural Regional Remote Education.
Ms Bristina understands education drives a better quality of life that enables young people to access further education, employment, better pay, healthier lifestyles and underpins a life filled with purpose and fulfilment. She is committed to the principles of inclusion, equity and excellence and enables young people to challenge the status quo and realise their potential best.
Principal Bristina has showcased over her career curiosity, innovation and applied evidence-based pedagogy and strategies to develop the student holistically.
Ms Bristina is looking forward to connecting with students, staff, parents/caregivers and the broader community over the next term.
